Tampa Bay Area Boat Lift Service and Repair Inc. was founded by Carl Smothers, a marine industry expert with over 30 years of experience in dock construction and boat lift installation. After building hundreds of new lifts, Carl noticed a major gap in the industry: most companies didn’t offer reliable repair or maintenance services, leaving boat owners stranded during peak season.

To solve this, Carl teamed up with Miguel — and together they created a one-stop shop for boat lift repairs, maintenance, parts, and support. Their goal was simple: to provide fast, honest, and expert service to boaters across the Tampa Bay area, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties.

Today, we continue that mission — helping residential and commercial clients keep their boat lifts operating safely and efficiently. We take pride in our craftsmanship, use only marine-grade components, and treat every job as if it were our own dock.
